Variax 300

Guitar Maker: Line6
Interface Maker: Roland

Guitar Bought From: Ebay
Interface Bought From: Pianos 'n' Stuff

Comments: This is the least expensive of the Variax guitars made by Line6. As their POD series emulates a variety of classic amplifiers, the Variax series emulates a variety of classic electric and acoustic guitars. I mainly got it out of curiosity, but it does do a quite reasonable job on some. I've made a bunch of recordings that do side-by-side comparisons of the Variax and the *real* guitars for those guitars I actually own. Click here for that page.

This is my "electronico-computer-geeky" guitar, so I've also installed a Roland GK-2A pickup on it. It connects to a Roland GI-10 Guitar Interface and allows me to trigger midi with the guitar.
